What EGS Actually Does

Developer. Financier.
Builder. Operator.

EGS is not a solar installer, broker, or equipment vendor.

We are a long-term infrastructure partner that performs every critical function in the lifecycle of a microgrid, from origination through active long-term operation.

01
Identify & Originate

We identify viable projects and align all stakeholders including facility owners, lenders, and utilities to design solutions where every party wins.

02
Engineer & Design

Each system is custom-engineered for your facility. Solar PV, battery storage, and controls, all behind-the-meter and built for long-term performance.

03
Site Assessment & Feasibility

EGS conducts a full site and feasibility assessment before arranging 100% of project capital. Zero cost or balance sheet impact to you.

04
Build & Commission

We manage permitting, procurement, construction, and grid interconnection. You remain fully insulated from construction risk and timeline complexity.

05
Own, Operate & Guarantee

EGS retains ownership and provides long-term O&M. We succeed only when the system performs reliably over the long term. Our incentives are aligned with yours.

Common Questions

Straight Answers.

We know this model is different from what most people expect. Here are the questions we hear most, answered plainly.

What does EGS actually do? +
EGS develops, finances, builds, owns, and operates site-specific microgrid systems. The customer does not own the equipment. They simply purchase power at a discounted rate under a long-term Power Purchase Agreement.
Do we need to invest any capital? +
No. The system is fully financed by EGS through the Third Party Owner (TPO) structure. There is zero upfront cost and no ownership obligation.
If we don't own the system, what do we get? +
You receive:
  • Lower electricity costs, immediate and long-term
  • Predictable pricing over the full agreement term
  • Net-zero progress and public leadership credentials
  • Zero maintenance, performance, or operational responsibility
How does EGS make money? +
EGS earns revenue over time by:
  • Selling electricity through the PPA at a discounted rate
  • Monetizing federal incentives such as the Investment Tax Credit (ITC)
  • Operating high-performing assets over the long term
What is the risk to us? +
Your risk is limited to your agreement to purchase electricity at a discounted price. EGS assumes:
  • Construction risk
  • Performance risk
  • Maintenance responsibility
  • Long-term operational accountability
This sounds too good to be true. What's the catch? +
There is no catch, but there is alignment. EGS invests capital and takes long-term responsibility. In return, you commit to purchasing power. The model works because incentives are aligned and performance is required. We don't profit unless the system works.
How involved do we need to be? +
Minimal. Your involvement is limited to:
  • Providing initial site access and energy data
  • Reviewing and approving agreements
EGS handles the entire lifecycle, from design through long-term active operation.
Why is now the right time? +
The economics are heavily supported by current federal incentives, particularly the Investment Tax Credit (ITC), which significantly improve project viability and customer savings. These incentives make the model more favorable today than it has ever been.
